Caution
Can dogs eat chips and salty snacks? Caution
Not recommended. A few chips are unlikely to hurt, but salty snacks can upset a dog's stomach, and a large amount can cause salt poisoning.
What to do now
- Make sure your dog has fresh water.
- Watch for vomiting, diarrhea, extreme thirst or wobbliness.
- Call your vet now if your dog ate a large bag or is wobbly, trembling or having seizures.
Don't
- Don't leave snack bags within reach; a dog's head can get stuck inside.
How to give it safely
Skip them as treats.
Signs to watch for
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Excessive thirst or urination
- Wobbliness
- Tremors
Why
