Safe. Plain cooked rice is easy to digest and is often used for dogs with mild stomach upsets, in small amounts.
If your dog ate a lot
- No need to worry if your dog ate some plain rice.
- If it was seasoned or fried with onion or garlic, call your vet for advice.
Don't
- Don't add seasonings or spices.
How to give it safely
Boil in plain water with no seasoning. Ask your vet before feeding rice regularly, especially if your dog is diabetic.
Why
White rice is easier to digest than brown rice. Too many carbs can lead to weight gain.
